QoS Arena – caution traffic when leaving town – Lochfield Rd – Terregles St – Terregles Rd – Terregles Village – steady climb towards Shawhead – turn RIGHT just after entering Shawhead – then turn first LEFT towards Glenkiln – after 1½ miles after bridge crossing take first LEFT up steep climb (aka ‘The Statues’) – descend to Bogle Bridge on A712 – crossover A712 and follow road to Kirkpatrick Durham – cross over B794 – Bridge of Urr – Clarebrand – Dunmuir Rd – Castle Douglas – Queen St (2nd exit at roundabout) – turn LEFT onto St Andrew St – follow B736 – turn LEFT to join A711 – Palnackie – turn RIGHT at bridge with traffic lights to go into Dalbeattie – turn RIGHT into Dalbeattie High St – turn LEFT at first roundabout then RIGHT at second roundabout (Alpine St) – Moss Rd – turn RIGHT onto B793 – Aucheninnes – Caulkerbush – join A710 – New Abbey – Dumfries
